Jay Ellis currently stars as Lawrence in the hit HBO comedy series ‘Insecure,’ created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore. His previous credits include ‘Masters of Sex,’ ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and the sci-fi thriller ‘Shortwave.’ In 2016, Ellis served as the National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Spokesman, and is an active volunteer at Inside Out Writers, an organization that teaches creative writing classes in Los Angeles County Juvenile Detention Centers.
